What if a trip to the shops became a creative experience?

This summer, Arty People is bringing a little bit of gallery magic to Kirkintilloch with our interactive Flower Market pop-up. Inspired by the iconic paper flower installations of New York's MoMA, we're inviting visitors of all ages to pick up a flower, get creative and become part of a growing community artwork.

Excitingly, we have already started this process at the farmers market in Kirkintilloch on the 7th of June and Bishopbriggs on the 27th of June. If you picked up a flower from us, you are now part of a community experience and we hope you will enjoy decorating your flower and keep it safe so that you can add it to the flower gallery on the day of the event.

Throughout the event, families, friends and curious passers-by can collect paper flowers, take part in hands-on creative activities and help us transform the arcade into something a little more colourful, playful and inspiring.

Our vision is simple: to bring creativity into everyday spaces. The planters in the arcade have been looking a little tired recently, so together we're going to give them a new lease of life by filling them with flowers created and shared by our local community.

Whether you're 3 or 93, everyone is invited to take part.
